Blood Drives with Vitalant

Blood donation costs you nothing but your time, and it saves lives.

At Aspen Valley Health, we make it easy to donate blood by bringing the Vitalant Blood Bank to you. During blood drive events, the Mobile Blood Bank parks just outside of the Emergency Entrance at Aspen Valley Health.

Please note the guidelines for blood donations with Vitalant’s Mobile Blood Bank:

• Donation is by appointment only — donors can sign up online or call Vitalant at 877-25-VITAL.
• ID will be required.
• Registration will be outside of the bloodmobile. We will have a table and chairs for everyone.
• Masks will be required of all donors and staff.
• All surfaces will be wiped down between donors.

Basic requirements and recommendations

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must weigh at least 110 pounds.
• Must be in good general health.
• Must eat within 2 hours ahead of blood donation.
• Must drink plenty of non-alcoholic liquids.
• Must wait 8 weeks between whole blood donations.

Vitalant continuously follows rigorous safety and cleaning protocols.

• Please do NOT donate blood if you are not feeling well. Blood donors are NOT tested to diagnose active seasonal or respiratory infections.
• All healthy donors are urged to donate. If you’ve had a seasonal or respiratory illness and have been symptom-free for 10 days, you are eligible to donate. If you have received a seasonal vaccine or booster, you may give blood or platelets any time after your vaccination.
