Aspen Valley Health Foundation
Community generosity in action — supporting extraordinary care in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley.
Built on Over a Century of Giving
A Hospital Built on Community Generosity.
Aspen Valley Health Foundation gratefully accepts philanthropic support from our community to help Aspen Valley Health (AVH) deliver extraordinary healthcare in an atmosphere of excellence, compassion and trust.
When people give to Aspen Valley Health Foundation, they are giving for their continued good health and their community’s health, as well. Philanthropy represents a portion of the Hospital’s budget and a significant portion of its positive operating margin. Community giving bridges the gap between the costs to deliver medical care and reimbursements received from Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. Gifts to Aspen Valley Health Foundation help support the people, programs, services and facilities that contribute to the health and wellness of the upper Roaring Fork Valley. Without your consideration, AVH would be hard-pressed to provide the range of services it does — from our birthing center to primary care.
It will come as no surprise to anyone that it is expensive to live, work and operate a business here in Aspen. Recruiting new healthcare providers and retaining our existing caregivers is something our community has a vested interest in maintaining. Like many organizations, affordable housing can often make the difference between a candidate choosing AVH or an existing physician being recruited elsewhere. One of the top strategic initiatives for the Hospital is to expand our housing options to provide rental properties for 50% of our workforce — with rents reflective of their incomes. It may take AVH over ten years to reach this goal, but philanthropy can help us achieve these aims faster and increase our ability to take advantage of opportunities when they are presented. AVH’s fiscal health is tied to the generosity of this community; every gift matters here and is valued.
Please reach out to the Foundation staff at the links below to learn more about the ways you can help. The Foundation welcomes gifts that can be used today, land or other real estate where we can house our employees and legacy gifts to help AVH in the future. Thank you for your consideration.
