Bio

Lisa Hicks, DMS, PA-C, joined Aspen Valley Health Primary Care in 2026, bringing nearly two decades of deep roots in both the Roaring Fork Valley and Aspen Valley Health (AVH). She holds a Master of Medical Science degree from Yale University School of Medicine and a Doctorate in Medical Science from Butler University.

Lisa has a particular passion for women's health, with advanced training in perimenopause and menopausal hormone replacement therapy—an area she feels strongly that women deserve thoughtful, personalized care around, and one she is excited to offer to patients of Primary Care. Her relationship with AVH spans nearly 20 years. Since 2007, she has grown through a range of roles—beginning as an EMT and advancing to paramedic with the Aspen Ambulance District— before completing her graduate training and returning as a PA. Most recently, she served as a physician assistant at Mountain Family Health Centers while also working part-time in AVH's Emergency Department and Snowmass Clinic.

Lisa has called the Roaring Fork Valley home since 2006, where she has raised her family and become woven into the fabric of the community. She is drawn to everything the valley offers, from its vibrant cultural life and strong sense of community to world-class skiing, biking, hiking, camping, trail running and hockey—all of which are family staples.
