“The girls” are sisters, not twins. So, they may behave differently or commonly one may produce more milk than the other. I have heard many nicknames “righty and lefty” the “stud and the dud”, well you get the picture. It is very common for one breast to produce considerably more milk than the other. For 7 out of 10 women the right breast is more productive. If you’re trying to even out milk production on both sides, you might try increasing stimulation and breast emptying in the lower producing breast. Start feeds on that side or pump more often with methods like power pumping or hand expressing for a few minutes after every feeding or pump session. This may not work, and the girls may never be even, but together they can often produce more than enough milk to feed your baby.
