About Alana
Dr. Alana Shah is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, a dual designation that is known as “Med Peds.” She joined the staff at Aspen Valley Health in November 2019 as a Hospitalist, and treats newborn, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Dr. Shah studied medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Her undergraduate studies were at Indiana University. Dr. Shah grew up in Telluride and is glad to be practicing medicine in the Roaring Fork Valley after many years living out of state. She and her husband actively engage in outdoor activities offered by the Colorado Rockies, especially “tearing up the slopes in the winter and logging miles with our backpacks in the summer.”
