Bio
Julie Kay Williams is a certified family nurse practitioner who began as a hospitalist at Aspen Valley Health in 2026. Julie has provided nursing care in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2018, moving here from Arkansas to work in hospital care.
She began her career in 2005 in pediatrics and emergency medicine, including six years as a registered nurse at a Level II trauma center. In 2013, Julie earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and began practicing as a nurse practitioner with a focus on family urgent care. She is certified as a nurse practitioner in family medicine by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her first job locally was as a hospitalist at Valley View Hospital. In 2021, she took a position as an attending nurse at HomeCare & Hospice of Rockies while she opened a private wellness practice. She returned to hospital care at Grand River Health in Rifle and was named 2023 Hospitalist of the Year.
Julie has thrived professionally since moving to the valley with her husband, Chad, and has fulfilled two items off her bucket list: being able to practice with a lifelong friend and living in the Colorado Rockies. Julie and Chad have been married for more than 30 years and have two adult children. They enjoy living in a place that has four distinct seasons and easy access to the outdoors.
