As a designated Level III Trauma Center, Aspen Valley Health stands ready to help in case of an emergency. Our board-certified ER physicians are available 24/7, and their expertise along with a full scope of diagnostic capabilities ensure the best care when it is needed most.
Aspen Valley Health’s sophisticated suite of diagnostic imaging technology, including a digital network that allows immediate access to 40 off-site radiology specialists in Denver, is complemented by our around-the-clock, state-of-the-art laboratory that provides a broad scope of lab services that allow for rapid diagnosis, so effective treatment may begin as soon as possible.
There are 16 patient beds in the department, including five private exam rooms equipped with negative pressure technology to contain airborne infectious diseases, two critical care rooms and a large trauma room. A full-time hospitalist, board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, supports emergency physicians and other specialists with consultations and admissions.
Admission is done bedside at a time when medical attention and patient comfort is the first priority.
A hospital-based ambulance service provides leading-edge pre-hospital care, and registered nursing staff have advanced training in trauma care. In the event transfer to another facility is required, an FAA-approved helipad is on the hospital campus.
