The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program at AVH launched in 2014, allowing physicians, therapists, trainers and others access to best practices when managing adult and pediatric TBI patients.
As one of the most progressive and comprehensive brain injury programs on the Western Slope, the TBI Program allows our team of physicians and therapists to create individualized programs for each patient.
The program includes regular visits to the program’s home base at Aspen Valley Health, daily exercises at home and collaboration among the program’s different therapists, as well as other hospital and community resources.
For more information, call the hospital’s Traumatic Brain Injury Program.
Our aggressive and highly personalized approach is associated with improved long-term outcomes when treatment commences within a few days of the injury. The TBI treatment plan begins in-house with a collaborative team of therapists, each specializing in different areas of rehabilitation. Targeted take-home exercises addressing individual needs will be assigned so patients can optimize the course rehabilitation between therapist visits.
Brain injuries can be incredibly complex. If you or someone you know has suffered a brain injury, these are some of the impairments that could occur.
Our collaborative team-based approach to TBI rehabilitation and an aggressive treatment philosophy is associated with better outcomes for our patients.
That’s one in every 60 people.
Our Certified Brain Injury Specialists help answer commonly asked questions about brain injuries and concussions. Watch the video below to learn more.
Each member of our team of Certified Traumatic Brain Injury Therapists has specialty training in neuroanatomy and neuroplasticity and the medical, physical, psychosocial and neurocognitive issues that accompany TBIs, ensuring the highest level of care associated with best outcomes for our patients.
