How to Discuss Improving Your Gut Health With Your Provider
Walking into a GI appointment prepared makes the conversation much more productive.
Before your visit, take note of your symptoms, including when they started, how often they occur, what seems to trigger them and what makes them better or worse.
Keep track of any dietary changes you have made and bring a list of the medications and supplements you currently take.
If you have a family history of GI conditions or colorectal cancer, make sure to share that as well. The more context your provider has, the better equipped they are to help you improve your gut health.
