Internal Medicine Physician | Women’s Health & Preventive Care Specialist

Dr. Caroline Mears is a board-certified internal medicine physician with clinical expertise in women’s health, midlife care, and preventive medicine for adults of all genders. She earned her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she served as Chief Resident. She holds fellowships with both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Osteopathic Internists (FACOI), recognizing her leadership and excellence in internal medicine.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mears serves as Chair of the Credentialing Committee at Aspen Valley Hospital, helping to ensure that providers meet the highest standards of training and performance. She also serves as Vice President of the Medical Staff, playing a key role in supporting medical governance and fostering collaboration among departments. She is currently pursuing certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP)—a distinction that reflects advanced training in menopause management, hormonal health, and evidence-based care for women in transition.

Dr. Mears is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach. Whether she’s guiding a woman through hormonal changes or supporting a male patient in preventive care and chronic disease management, she works in partnership with her patients to develop personalized plans that promote long-term wellness.  She welcomes adult patients of all ages and genders.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mears enjoys trail running and spending time outdoors with her husband, Justin, their daughter, and their two chocolate labs.

She is accepting new patients.
