BIO

Dr. Nessa Meshkaty practices telemedicine with patients at Aspen Valley Health, a role she’s held since 2025. Dr. Meshkaty is board certified in three specialties—internal medicine, pediatrics and infectious disease. She is based in Ventura, Calif., and will be available to patients through AVH’s Primary Care clinic. Dr. Meshkaty’s clinical approach is collaborative. She strongly believes that shared decision-making between patient and doctor is vital and empowers patients to participate fully in their healthcare. Dr. Meshkaty graduated from the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2008 with two degrees, her MD and an MS in applied physiology. She completed a dual training residency program at Baystate Medical Center in Boston in both internal medicine and pediatrics (Med-Peds). She remained in the Boston area to complete a two-year fellowship in infectious disease, also at Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Meshkaty is passionate about public health, outbreak management, infection control and effective science communication. As a clinician, Dr. Meshkaty is particularly interested in antibiotic stewardship and the link between antibiotic usage, gut health and overall health. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, American Society of Microbiology, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and American College of Physicians. She loves traveling, cooking, gardening, and hiking in her spare time.
