World-class Care for Everyone

Aspen has long been a world-class destination for a diverse array of active lifestyles—from adventure seekers to ultra runners and multi-generational families exploring together. Aspen Valley Health’s rehabilitation services are tailored to meet the needs of patients who are eager to get back on the trail and into the mountains as soon as possible, in a way that maximizes personal enjoyment and rehabilitation objectives.

Our Philosophy

We believe in completely individualizing treatment — provided solely by licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists — ensuring your rehabilitation protocol is ideally suited to your physical and lifestyle needs. Additionally, we aim to maximize continuity of care by pairing patients with the same therapist throughout their recovery journey, implementing a progressive, goal-oriented approach to return you to your normal activities as soon as possible. We believe rehabilitation requires excellent rapport between patient, physician and therapist, which is why we work closely with you and your physician to develop a customized program that delivers long-term results.

Our body weight support treadmill provides patients with the opportunity to return to walking/running before full body weight is allowed or tolerated. Video cameras allow for visual feedback and improved gait pattern.

Therapists are trained to measure and fit specialized compression garments to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and chronic wounds.

Wound care is performed under the supervision of a hospital staff physician and employs several approaches including Wound Vac, dressing changes and wound education.

Born in Navy SEAL training, the TRX Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.
